Intake Paralegal - Students will serve on a statewide legal hotline, which provides legal information, advice and referral. Recreation Supervisor – Supervise teens and preteens 6th-9th grade who drop in at a free after-school center. Hold them accountable for signing in and out and following basic rules. Encourage and assist with homework, recreation, and appropriate socializing. Keep area clean. Help carry out special days and programs, help conduct outreach and public relations. Serve as a good role model. Interact with the children to provide a positive growth experience. Special skills required are experience with and enjoyment of supervising children.
Guidance Supervisor – Coordinates activities at The Cave, a free after-school program serving teens and preteens in 6th-9th grade. Take charge of carrying out the services offered: homework help, recreation, and peer socializing. Conduct behavior interventions and informal guidance of middle school students. Deliver monthly alcohol/drug prevention sessions. Represent the organization at various meetings with grant-makers, government officials, etc. Assist with community outreach. Serve as a good role model and interact with children to provide a positive growth experience. Identify and help implement policy changes that improve the quality of the setting and the activities for the children attending. Special skills required are experience with and enjoyment of supervising children. Awareness of and preparedness to address psycho-social factors.
