What Are The Literacy And Math Tutoring Programs?

The Literacy and Math Tutoring Programs were established as a means by which to ensure that all children become successful readers.  To further this effort, colleges and universities have been encouraged to provide opportunities for work study students to serve as reading tutors to elementary school children.  Building on the success of the Literacy Tutoring Programs, the Math Tutoring Programs were established to provide tutoring assistance in mathematics to children in pre-kindergarten through the ninth grade.
